Cardiff and Vale College Online is the distance learning website for professional study from Cardiff and Vale College based in the Capital City of Wales.
We have more than 25 years’ experience of success in CILEx training in college, please visit the Cardiff and Vale College website for more information on our in College CILEx provision.
We have also provided CILEx distance Learning courses for 5 years. Our specialist CILEx distance learning tutors include qualified teachers and experienced practitioners.
All tutors have a wealth of experience working with CILEx through accredited centres, some also have experience of working for CILEx on qualification development and the examination process. As I had experienced another college, I am able to say that Cardiff and Vale College offered me a huge amount of support and assistance. How E-Learning Works
Once you have purchased the CILEx units of your choice you have access to the unit materials, student forums and tutor guidance for up to 6 months from the date of purchase for CILEx level 3 units and level 6 units 22 and 23. For CILEx level 6 units 1-21 you will have 10 months from the date of purchase.
When you make a purchase the site will automatically issue you with a username and password. The name of your tutor will be sent to you shortly after you receive your username and password. All communication on registration and study comes through the CAVC Online internal messaging system. This system will send notifications of messages waiting in your inbox to the e-mail address of your choice.
It is expected that a level 3 unit will take around 70 hours of study in total to complete and a level 6 unit 150 hours.
Each purchase includes the induction unit which will explain step by step how to access materials, upload your work and check your tutor's feedback online.
Each purchase gives you:
- Either 6 or 10 months access to all course features
- Course materials, exclusive to CAVC Online written by our specialist authors and updated regularly
- Materials which include notes on all subject matter, interactive quizzes, articles, guidance for study and specific references to further recommended reading
- Access to student forums to engage in discussion, ask questions and enjoy the support and community of contact with fellow learners
- Assignments and mock exams to be marked by your dedicated tutor who will provide feedback
- Unlimited e-mail access to tutors for questions and guidance
- Access to the induction unit
